Citizen's Participation Plan Amendments

Vallejo's Housing and Community Development Department (HCDD) is currently preparing their FY 2025-29 Consolidated Plan. This plan is informed by the public and will shape the goals, needs and priorities of the department over the next five years. Part of this Consolidated Planning Process is our Citizens Participation Plan (CPP) , which outlines how the City will involve community members in decision making processes. 

 

The current Citizen's Participation Plan was developed in 2020. The current draft includes revisions regarding specific language, and the criteria for a significant amendment. Comments on the revisions can be submitted on paper or electronically until March 25th at 5pm. A public hearing will be held at the Special Housing and Community Development Commission Meeting on March 10th, 2025 at 7pm in the Vallejo Room.

  • December 27, 2023 NOTICE OF UNCLAIMED FUNDS: Pursuant to California Government Code §50051, the Finance Director of the City of Vallejo announces the identification of unclaimed monetary sums, held for over three (3) years, which will become the property of the City of Vallejo on February 2, 2024. Interested parties are invited to file a claim before said date, providing their name, address, claim amount, grounds, check details, and the sum specified in this notice. The Finance Director holds the discretion to accept or reject any claim, with a 15-day window for rejected claims to file a verified complaint seeking fund recovery. This notice serves to inform and encourage timely action to address unclaimed funds, ensuring a fair and transparent process in accordance with the specified legal provisions.   • December 23, 2023  The Vallejo Housing Authority has made revisions to its Housing Choice Voucher Program Administrative Plan. A summary of proposed changes and the full proposed 2024 HCV Program Administrative Plan is available for review and public comment here, and at the Housing Authority office located at 200 Georgia Street, Vallejo, CA 94590 during the hours of 9:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. through 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The public comment period begins December 23, 2023, and goes on through January 4, 2024.  A public hearing will be held on January 23, 2024, at 6:45 p.m. at the Vallejo City Council Chambers located at 555 Santa Clara St., Vallejo CA

  • September 15, 2023 - NOTICE OF FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT AND NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST RELEASE OF FUNDS

  • The notice shall satisfy two separate but related procedural requirements for an activity to be undertaken by the City of Vallejo. Any individual, group, or agency disagreeing with this determination or wishing to comment on the project may submit written comments by email to Natalie Peterson, Assistant to the City Manager, at Natalie.Peterson@cityofvallejo.net. All written comments received not later than 4:00 p. m. PST on September 29, 2023 will be considered by the City of Vallejo prior to authorizing submission of a request for release of funds. Comments should specify which Notice they are addressing.

  • The City of Vallejo has prepared the draft CAPER for the third year of its FY 2020-21 through FY 2024-25 Consolidated Plan. The FY 2022-23 CAPER describes the City’s performance in achieving the objectives in the Consolidated Plan for the period beginning July 1, 2022 and ending June 30, 2023.   • August 16, 2022 - NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE AND EVALUATION REPORT (CAPER) FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2021-22
    The City of Vallejo has prepared the draft CAPER for the second year of its FY 2020-21 through FY 2024-25 Consolidated Plan. The FY 2021-22 CAPER describes the City’s performance in achieving the objectives in the Consolidated Plan for the period beginning July 1, 2021 and ending June 30, 2022. The Housing and Community Development Commission of the City of Vallejo is scheduled to hold a public hearing to receive comments on the draft CAPER at a regular meeting after 7:00 p. m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022.  Anyone interested in commenting on this report is invited to participate in this hearing.  Written comments on the CAPER may also be submitted until 5:00 p. m. on September 1, 2022 to: Chari Barrera at chari.barrera@cityofvallejo.net, or in the Housing and Community Development Division drop box located at 200 Georgia Street, Vallejo, CA  94590.
